Wellness Festival is supported by The Lotus-Heart, operating exclusively within the jurisdiction of tikanga Māori, under the protection of a Topu Whenua Trust, and the living authority of Ingarani Māori Inc. (2021), the Nga Tikanga Māori Law Society (Inc) o Aotearoa [NZ], and the Amalgamated Māori Incorporations Constitution Regulations 1995–2000.

This standing is inherent and is affirmed but not conferred by Te Ture Whenua Māori Act 1993.

ABOUT OUR PRIVATE ASSOCIATION STRUCTURE

The Lotus-Heart, which supports Wellness Festival, operates as a tikanga-governed association under:

• the protection of a Topu Whenua Trust
• the living authority of Ingarani Maori Inc. (2021)
• Nga Tikanga Māori Law Society (Inc) o Aotearoa
• the Amalgamated Māori Incorporations Constitution Regulations

This standing is inherent, based on ancestral right and tikanga tuku iho.

In practice, this means:

• we prioritise care, respect, and wellbeing
• relationships are handled with integrity and mutual consent
• information is treated minimally and respectfully
• our kaupapa is not commercial but community-oriented
• The Lotus-Heart’s food operations are registered under Ingarani Maori Inc., outside of council jurisdiction, following a successful assertion of tikanga-based sovereignty.

Visitors are not required to be members of our private association to participate in public festival events.
